Description

The mosaic floor, in the banquet hall, consists of eleven rectangular panels with geometric decorative motifs (shields, scaly jewels, perspective meander, etc.) and a slightly eccentrically placed emblem depicting a scene from the life of the god Dionysus. The mosaic floors are made of mainly limestone or ceramic mosaics and their decorative themes are mainly geometric and floral motifs (shields, rhombuses, meanders, eight-pointed stars with rhomboid petals, lotus flowers, ivy leaves, interlocking dodecagons / octagons and decorative bands with plumes , staggered triangles, etc.).
