Description

Bipartite, split buckle with a central, transverse elliptical buckle. The sides of the buckle are decorated with an ellipsoidal medallion filled with a floral composition consisting of a central rosette and radial, opposite, oblong leaves around. The medal is flanked by two roses. The decoration is completed by four short bands with triangular finials at the corresponding corners decorated with double clams. The transverse buckle has a corrugated periphery so as to create three circular gaps. The central one, slightly larger, is attributed to a double-headed eagle in relief. The upper one is decorated with a flower and stem, while the lower one is decorated with a plain rose. Six tabs on the back of the buckle help hold it on the belt.
