The fruit bowl with the fruit is framed with rococo floral decoration. In the 18th century, the theme of the watermelon and the slice with a knife stuck on it, was one of the most popular, both in secular and ecclesiastical painting decoration. The specific theme expresses the affluence and optimism of the time.
