Description

The anthropomorphic figurines depict Zeus in the warrior type, such as the bronze figurine of the late 8th century BC, an image that transforms in the archaic and classical period into the Thunderer Zeus. The statuette, which was attached to the top of the handle of a bronze tripod, is the oldest depiction of Zeus in Dodoni to date and dates from the middle of the 8th century BC.
