Description
Sarcophagus with its cover, the work of a local workshop. The case is decorated with a garland of berries and fruits, such as acorns, pine cones, ears of corn, pomegranates, grapes. The garland is supported by an Erotideus in the center and two bucephalae at the ends. Erotideus is winged and attributed to the "floating" type. The cover has the form of a gabled roof, the ceramosis of which is rendered with seven rows of scales. The right pediment is decorated with two facing Satyrs striding towards a central crater. In their right hand which rises towards the top of the pediment they hold a bunch of grapes. A shield is depicted on the left pediment.
